What is the best part of you?

In ruma rua we have been learning how to write a poem using rhyming, short sharp sentences and writing using lines. We had a look at the book The Best Part of Me by Wendy Ewald, where children talk about their bodies using pictures and words. We thought about the things we love doing and what parts of our body we use to do these things. We hope you enjoy reading through our creative poems.

Have you ever done weaving?

For Mother's Day this year we wanted to create something special for our incredible Mums, Aunties, Grandmothers and other female figures in our lives. We were learning how to weave using a needle and thread because it is important for us to be able use our fine motor skills.

Did you celebrate Holy Thursday?

What a fun Holy Thursday we all had today! Everyone learnt about the history and symbolism of hot cross buns and Easter eggs. They helped to bake a huge delicious hot cross bun in a bread maker and we shared it with one another like Jesus did with his disciples at the last supper.

Below is Jason's collage from our special day.
